What is a zone?

A zone is a term used loosely to describe either a wireless device or hardwired device, or any number of hardwired devices in a complete loop.

In the hardwired world, it is a device or series of devices on 1 loop that cover a ceratin area. For example, lets say you have 1 door contact on its own loop. This would be one zone.

Wirelessly speaking, one wireless transmitter is a zone.
